Inter Poker Review
Fri 19 May 2017
Inter poker isn't exactly the most popular poker website around, even though it was founded in 2001 it hasn't expanded greatly. You may already know the brand through the Inter Casino brand. Inter poker is certainly better than just the average poker room, however the system lacks a few features. The software is very stable and does what it was created to do. I just wish it would have more style. Since 2005 inter poker has grown a little but still lacks the support of major poker rooms. It receives quite a lot of Texas Hold'em traffic, but not much for omaha or seven card stud. There isn't a lot of variety with different games, and there is no turbo mode. There are some good things going for this service, namely the competition is quite soft. Many competitors are fairly new to playing poker coming from their online casino and playing a bit of poker on the side.
The software is no looker, but it does work well. The software works very quickly and is surprisingly reliable. The speed of the games are pretty average which means you can run two tables at the same time if you want. There are a number of settings that you can fiddle around with, you can make the software look completely different by adjusting the colors, changing animations, values of hands and even change the dealer voices. The actual poker client is good, the only issue with it is the lack of a decent interface. It all just lacks a bit of oomph.
Inter Poker has relativly low traffic, during peak hours you get over 3500 simultaneous users, which is enough to get a game, but you may struggle if you want to play 2 or 3 at once. 70% of all the traffic head straight on over to play on the Texas Hold'em tables, so dont expect much action for omaha or seven card stud.
The Inter poker tournaments are extremely popular. There are tournaments with $2 buy ins right up to $300, however these aren't exactly busy either. The most popular tournaments are the sit'n'go texas hold'em tables, over 95% of tournament players play these low limit sit and go's. There are some big events, and you can win your way to the EPT European poker tour through the inter poker website, plus there is the £40,000 Sunday bonanza and $400,000 Freeroll, so its not all bad.
The game variety isn't that bad, but it isn't brilliant either. There are several different flavours of Texas hold'em including no limit, fixed limit and pot limit. You can also play Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo in Pot and fixed limited. 7 card stud is also offered in fixed limit only. There are lots of tables that support Texas hold'em heads-ups which is good if you like this feature. Big stake tables are on offer up to $300 fixed limit.
If you are looking for quite an easy game in order to win some extra money then this could be an ideal place to start. There are many new casino players starting on this network, many of them are completely new to poker. The majority of people play with medium stakes, while some play $20 and above. The viewed level of flops can reach 65% + in low stake games.
Inter poker is a good sized sign up bonus, they offer a 100% bonus of your deposit up to a maximum of $100. In order to withdraw your bonus you need to risk this amount 5 times in games. A $100 bonus needs you to play 500 raked hands in order to clear it. Inter poker state that a raked hand is where you stake at least $1. Additional bonuses are also available when you reload your credit.
Inter poker assists players and rewards them with My Player Ponts (MPP). These are points that you can earn by playing cash games. If the rake reaches $1 you earn one MPP. You can use these special points to convert into benefits. There are many things you can spend these points on, including entering exclusive freerolls, and special poker tournaments,. All in all Inter poker is quite basic in essence but has a solid platform and pretty poor players.
